Coburger Kartonagenfabrik GmbH makes a donation to the "Wohnnest"

Marcus Gebler, Managing Director of the Coburger Kartonagenfabrik and Kathrin Enrico from the Association for Handicapped Children in Coburg are delighted with the donation.

The Coburger Kartonagenfabrik is supporting the "Wohnnest" project launched by the handicapped children's association in Coburg and came up with a novel idea:

Along with Christmas greetings, the business partners of the Coburg and Bergisch Kartonagenfabriken got to hear about the "Wohnnest" building project. Instead of Christmas presents the company group donated an amount for each Christmas card and then rounded up the sum.

The FED, a family support service and part of the Association for the Handicapped Child in Coburg needs more space. More and more children and young people want to take advantage of the FED special offers for short and longer-term term care, including at the weekends.

The lack of space means that the FED has a waiting list. Waiting lists for family support that many children with severely handicapped children usually desperately need.

At the educational centre the association is converting an entire floor for the FED to create the "Wohnnest" (home nest).

When it is finished the area will have three double rooms and four single rooms with en suite bathrooms, a large kitchen and eating area for communal cooking, a comfortable living room, a handicap-friendly bath, relaxation lounge and meeting rooms for staff.

The idea is that everybody should feel at home in the "Wohnnest". It should be a place for cool trips away from the everyday, offering happy communal experiences, a bit of freedom and normality as part of public life.

The "Wohnnest" will be open around the clock and all year round. For  handicapped people it will be an attractive change of scene and for many parents a real break.

The "Wohnnest" helps parents and families to come up for air and to recharge their batteries, thus enabling them to cope with the demands of caring for handicapped children.

The folding box packing system has proven to be one of the most environmentally friendly packing options for manufacturers of a vast range of product. We, too, make our contribution to the added-value and recycling chain as well as sustainability.

This begins with the raw materials used, covers the ancillary and service fluids and ends with recycling. Examples for this are the energy-optimised production plants, the internal energy and waste management, the consumption-optimised fleet, FSC & BRC certification and naturally in this relationship the respective packing advice from A-Z..
